In this seminar, we review the fundamental principles of goal setting. You will complete a wheel of life exercise and review professional aims to help you set the right goals. We demonstrate two powerful techniques for goal setting: SMARTER and Well-Formed Outcomes. Whilst many people are familiar with SMART as a structure for goal setting, we really bring this and other techniques to life.
With an emphasis on self-motivation and self-management you will walk away with an action plan and the right tools to succeed, whatever your goals.
This course is run by Matthew Critchlow, MD at Thrive Training and Visiting Lecturer at the University of Westminster.
What do people say:
"I found the session on Goal Setting both fascinating and practical … I’ve started to use information from the workshop to focus on my goals in a step by step, measured approach … I would recommend any employee driven organisation to consider having Matthew to present a session." Azeem Moosun, Department for Work and Pensions (DWP)
"Matthew delivered the Goal Setting workshop at a pace that left all attendees understanding how goals work and how they can help us all. He fully engaged with his audience and as an attendee I felt that the content and delivery of the workshop was just right. Matthew was humorous and insightful. I thoroughly enjoyed this workshop and would recommend it to anyone who wants to gain some focus on their goals." Movell Dash, Diversity and Inclusion Lead, Corporate Responsibility Team at Financial Conduct Authority.
"I found the Goal Setting Workshop very inspiring. The workshop has highlighted that the key to goal setting is getting away from the pressures of the day and asking the question where do I want to be in 6 months, 1 year, 5 years from now and most importantly writing them down and constantly checking to see where I am against my goals and visualizing success. I would recommended this course to anyone who is serious about achieving their goals." Paul Scott, UK Civil Service
